ONE Health Ohio at Warren West Community Health Center celebrated its grand reopening on Friday after being closed for nine months. The health care provider introduced a new in-house retail pharmacy called “The Prescription Pad” at its Tod Ave SW location. This pharmacy will offer medication management and prescription refills to patients.
Dr. Maria Kowalm, the chief medical officer of ONE Health Ohio, expressed excitement about the reopening and the addition of the pharmacy services. The modernization of the facility allowed for more exam rooms to increase access to patients and serve a larger portion of the community.
In addition to the pharmacy services, ONE Health Ohio also added a team of clinical pharmacists to work closely with doctors in helping patients manage conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. The Warren West center will continue to provide medical, dental, and behavioral health services, along with addiction and nutrition services.
The health center also highlighted its partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank for its Food Is Medicine program. This program provides patients with produce prescriptions and medically tailored meals or groceries to help manage chronic diseases like diabetes.
Overall, the reopening of ONE Health Ohio at Warren West Community Health Center aims to create greater access to medical care for residents in the area. The facility’s commitment to providing comprehensive primary care services in a welcoming environment has been well-received by the community. Councilwoman Honeya Price praised the reopening, noting the convenience it offers to residents in the neighborhood.
