Hawkins’ byline graced the pages of the newspaper for 30 years, where she was at the forefront of documenting the rise of high technology in Austin. From software to biotech, startups to real estate, she covered it all with depth and analysis. Her most recent work included a story on Austin billionaire John Paul DeJoria’s venture into artificial intelligence.
