Roto Grocery Makes a Comeback as Roto Café at Shoregate Development
Bay Shore residents and commuters will soon have a familiar favorite back in their neighborhood as Roto Grocery, now rebranded as Roto Café, is set to open at the new Shoregate development this summer. The café, owned by Brock Ferraro and Jack Monahan, will be the only commercial tenant at the transit-oriented development located near the Bay Shore Long Island Rail Road station and Fire Island Ferries.
Ferraro and Monahan, who originally opened Roto Grocery in 2022, are excited to bring their culinary creations to the Shoregate community. The duo, who met as roommates at the College of Charleston, have a passion for providing exceptional food and service to their customers.
Christopher Mahoney, a Tritec development associate, praised Roto Café as a perfect fit for Shoregate, emphasizing the café’s commitment to fostering a sense of community and offering high-quality food. The direct deal between Roto Café and Tritec showcases the landlord’s confidence in the café’s ability to enhance the residential experience at Shoregate.
With the first residents already settled in at the Shoregate rental development, the addition of Roto Café is sure to further enrich the community’s distinctive character. Residents and visitors alike can look forward to enjoying delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches as Roto Café becomes a staple in the Shoregate neighborhood.
