Intermountain Health is making strides in providing comprehensive women’s health care in Utah with the expansion of their certified nurse-midwives program. With 50 certified nurse-midwives now available at 16 hospital locations across the state, Intermountain Health is committed to providing high-quality care to women from Logan to St. George.
In addition to delivering babies and providing prenatal care, the Intermountain Nurse-Midwives have launched a gynecology access clinic to address a variety of women’s health concerns. The clinic offers both virtual and in-person appointments, with most patients seen within a few days and same-day appointments available.
Certified nurse midwives specialize in providing primary care and care related to reproductive and sexual health to individuals of all ages. The gynecology access clinic can provide timely diagnosis and treatment for a range of symptoms and concerns, from abnormal vaginal bleeding to menopause symptoms.
Patients can also receive coordinated care between providers, with referrals to OB/GYNs, behavioral health providers, or other specialists as needed. The Intermountain Nurse-Midwives can deliver babies at 16 Utah hospitals, providing women with access to comprehensive care throughout their reproductive health journey.
