China continues to make strides in the field of science and technology, with recent developments in the railway, aviation, and electric vehicle industries.
In central China’s Hunan Province, a new meter-gauge train has been unveiled by the China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC) for Malaysia’s Electric Train Service (ETS). The ETS3 train, the third generation of its kind, is set to operate on the west coast of Malaysia, covering a total line length of approximately 950 kilometers. This new train is expected to significantly increase passenger capacity and operational efficiency, contributing to the modernization of Malaysia’s rail transit system.
Meanwhile, China’s homegrown regional jetliner, the ARJ21, has launched its first air route to Central Asia. Operated by Chengdu Airlines, the aircraft flew from Kashgar Prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to Khujand in Tajikistan. This new air route is expected to enhance economic, cultural, and tourism exchanges between the two regions, further developing the “Air Silk Road.”
In response to allegations of connections to “forced labor” by U.S. lawmakers, major electric vehicle battery makers CATL and Gotion High-Tech have firmly rejected these claims. Both companies have stated that they are in strict compliance with all laws and regulations, emphasizing that any allegations of forced labor are completely unfounded and false.
These recent developments highlight China’s commitment to innovation and progress in various sectors, showcasing the country’s advancements in science and technology on a global scale.
